Hyun Mi Lee specialised in Art studies during her senior secondary years at Sunhwa Art College and moved to Australia in 1988.  She continued her studies at The University of Sydney for four years majoring in printmaking and has since exhibited widely in Australia, Europe and Asia.  In her life as an artist between two cultures Lee is compelled by her bi-cultural existence as an Asian contemporary artist in a Western society.
